I’m almost at a loss for words. The toddler rail for Morgan’s crib arrived today (it was shipped on Jan. 2, UPS lost it in transit in Baltimore, so they shipped us another on Feb. 2). Her crib is now complete.
The thing to watch is her ability to raise her hips and support herself on her hands and knees. She couldn’t do that two days ago.

Sent home from daycare with a fever and back to the doctor today. She has one ear infection (a noticeable reduction from the two of two weeks ago), so they prescribed another round of stronger antibiotics. Though an ear infection could be viral, rendering antibiotics useless, she did demonstrate pretty immediate relief last time and one of the two did clear up (though whether causation or just lucky correlation is anyone’s guess).
Though she’s had a fever at some point in each week since the New Year, Morgan has generally had a good winter healthwise for her first winter in daycare. It seems 1/3 of the kids are out at any given time and quite a few nasty things have made the rounds while skipping her. So far, other than the ear infections, her illnesses have been confined to colds and Molly and I have only missed a few cumulative days of work to take care of her.
