Morgan continues to mature

There is so much going on with Morgan these days, it really is tough to keep up.

This morning in the car Jim sneezed.  I said ‘bless you.’ Morgan usually says ‘ah-choo’ or ‘ah-choo Daddy.’  Today she said “bless you Daddy.’

The other day there was a minor crisis at daycare.  Jim and I were there picking Morgan up and going through the end-of-the-day potty routine.  One of the teachers brought a handful of the older Toddler 2 kids in from playing outside for a bathroom break.  And one of the kiddie toilets started overflowing. So the teacher had to go to another room to call someone.  Jim is tiptoeing through the growing pool of water trying to figure out how to shut it off.  And I’m standing there surrounded by kids in various states of pants-wearing, many starting to get upset by the change in routine, sudden flurry of activity, and advancing water line. So I manage to move them outside of the bathroom and on the other side of a very small lip in the floor (sufficient to keep the water in the bathroom).  One of the kids starts getting super upset and Morgan goes over and starts rubbing her back.  Then Morgan starts to get upset because I needed to go into the bathroom to get some diapers.  So I asked her to hold another girls hand until I got back.  She did. And it calmed her down.  So cute!

We went to George’s last Saturday (as we often do).  Morgan was interested in getting a balloon for the first time.  And we managed to convince her to be gentle with it.  I was sure she was going to pop it with her nails or through sheer force of hugging, but we managed to escape unscathed.  As we were walking up to George’s she was saying “George’s! George’s!”

She loves the new house.  She loves being able to look out the windows and see things going on. And she loves being able to get outside from the front door.

She has gotten much easier to maneuver in a car seat.  Sometimes she even helps buckle herself in now.
